Job summary

Bell Textron Inc. seeks a Field Service Representative for Bahrain to support AH-1Z FMS, training RBAF/BDF personnel in installation, operation and maintenance of AH-1Z aircraft.

The role requires an extensive background with H-1 avionics and mechanical systems, and an ability to relocate to Bahrain on short notice. Security clearance and overseas deployment are required conditions.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience with Bell H-1 family aircraft.
• Strong knowledge of H-1 avionics, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical systems.
• Experience in military aircraft maintenance procedures and QA practices.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex aircraft systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets and databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to resolve unusually complex problems.
• Support operation and maintenance of aircraft avionics, airframe, electrical and drive-train systems.
• Relocate to Bahrain as assigned; comply with security and host-nation requirements.
• Work under overseas assignment and may deploy based on Company decisions.
• Maintain and update documentation and reporting for maintenance actions.

Field Service Representative - (Bahrain – Sahkir Air Base)

Bring your experience and ideas and help us support Bell’s AH-1Z Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to the Kingdom of Bahrain through the U.S. Government.

Bell requires Contractor Engineering Technical Services (CETS) - Contractor Field Services (CFS) for the purpose of informing, instructing, and training Royal Bahraini Airforce (RBAF)/Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) personnel to be proficient in the installation, operation, and maintenance of AH-1Z aircraft.

What you’ll be doing as a Field Service Representative

• Duties to include providing technical guidance and advice to resolve unusually complex technical problems.
• This position also provides support in the operation and maintenance of the aircraft, to include avionics, airframe, electrical, and drive-train systems.
• The selected candidate must have a strong background in H-1 aircraft Avionics and Mechanical systems.
• This position is based OCONUS with living quarters in or around Manama, Bahrain.
• This position is designated as an overseas assignment and may require the selected candidate to perform work in Bahrain once the Company determines that conditions allow for safe deployment. The Company retains sole discretion to determine when such conditions exist. Until deployment, the selected candidate may be directed to perform work remotely or from another location as determined appropriate by the Company.
• The selected candidate acknowledges that regional security conditions, host-nation requirements, and U.S. Government directives may necessitate changes to the selected candidate’s work location, including temporary or permanent reassignment, transition from remote to in-country work, or adjustments to housing or living arrangements. The Company may modify the selected candidate’s work location at any time based on operational needs or security considerations. Continued employment in this role requires the ability and willingness to relocate to Bahrain upon Company direction.
• Employment is contingent upon the candidate obtaining and maintaining a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

Skills You Bring to This Role:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s Degree or Trade School Certification is preferred.
• 6 years of extensive maintenance experience with Bell H-1 (AH-1Z, UH-1Y, AH-1W) military aircraft is required.
• Excellent knowledge of H-1 aircraft systems and military aircraft maintenance procedures is required.
• Employment is contingent upon the candidate obtaining and maintaining a U.S. Secret security clearance.
• This position requires experience and technical expertise with military aircraft product operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting with a strong preference in avionics and mechanical systems.
• Full systems Quality Assurance Representative experience is preferred.
• FAA A&P license, FCC General Radio Telephone License or equivalent military experience is preferred.
• Preference for recent active-duty USMC H-1 upgrade experience, specifically Avionics, Mechanical, Hydraulics, Electrical Systems, Weapons, and Sensors at the organizational/squadron level.
• Personal computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications is required.
• Excellent oral and writing skills are required.
