Job summary

Deloitte in Manama seeks an Experienced Associate/Senior in Audit & Assurance to deliver high-quality accounting advisory work and exceptional client service.

You will conduct research on complex accounting matters, apply IFRS insights, and coordinate with engagement managers to execute strategies while building productive client relations across engagements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3–6 years in public auditing and accounting, preferably with a Big Four.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• CA/ACCA/CPA qualification preferred; CA preferred.

Skills

• Provide exceptional and timely client service, deliver high quality work and foster lasting client relationships
• Conduct in-depth research on complex matters and apply critical thinking to provide clients with robust solutions.
• Actively contribute to the delivery of accounting advisory projects through performing research around:
  • Complex accounting advice on abnormal transactions or acquisitions in accordance with IFRS
  • Financial statements and accounting policies review
  • IFRS impact assessment
• Coordinating closely with the engagement managers to assist in the execution of account strategies.
• Actively engage in discussions with the engagement managers to share insights on prospective client needs based on research on the client's background and current industry trends.
• Ensure the clients' successful delivery of service offerings, by supporting the planning and execution of various projects.
• Building and maintaining productive, positive, and professional relationships with client staff and colleagues.
• Assist clients with internal controls related matter, including design, implementation, testing and remediation
• Demonstrates ability to apply AI in an audit context to improve efficiency and quality (e.g., relevant use cases), including prompt engineering fundamentals and structured problem-solving.
• Exercises professional scepticism when using AI-generated outputs—validates accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness before use in audit documentation/workpapers.
• Understands responsible AI expectations in professional services, including governance/risk considerations, confidentiality and data integrity, and use of firm-approved AI tools (including

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in public auditing and accounting, preferably with one of the big four.
• Experience working on technical accounting advisory engagements is desired.
• Experience of report writing is desired.
• Possess a solid knowledge of IFRS
• Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
• International accounting qualification is desired: CA, ACCA, or CPA. Preferably CA.
• Fluent in English (Reading, Speaking and Writing). Preference will be given to Bilingual candidates (Arabic/English).
