Job summary

VirtualWorks Hub in Manama is seeking an Excavator Operator for a contract role. You will operate heavy machinery to excavate, move and load materials on construction sites under supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma, 1 year of experience preferred, and the ability to read blueprints and maps. Competitive monthly pay and opportunities to gain hands-on experience across different projects are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating excavators or heavy machinery preferred but not required (1+ year).
• Ability to read blueprints, maps, and other technical drawings.
• Physical stamina to work long hours in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently according to job site requirements.
• Conduct pre-operation checks and report issues or malfunctions.
• Dig trenches, ditches, foundations and other areas as directed by the project manager.
• Move and load materials using the excavator's bucket or attachments.
• Maintain records of daily operations and report incidents or accidents.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment.
• Assist with general labor tasks as needed on the job site.

Job description

We are a leading construction company based in Manama seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our team on a contract basis. As an Excavator Operator you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to excavate, move and load materials at construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Operating excavators safely and efficiently according to job site requirements
• Conducting pre-operation checks on equipment and reporting any issues or malfunctions
• Digging trenches, ditches, foundations and other areas as directed by the project manager
• Moving and loading materials using the excavator's bucket or other attachments
• Maintaining accurate records of daily operations and reporting any incidents or accidents
• Following all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment
• Assisting with general labor tasks as needed on the job site

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education required
• Valid Excavator Operator certification preferred but not required
• At least 1 year of experience operating excavators or other heavy machinery in a construction setting
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, and other technical drawings
• Physical stamina to withstand long hours of sitting and operating controls in extreme weather conditions
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
