Qualifications

• No prior experience is required for this entry-level position; however, experience in construction or related fields is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent education is preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to read blueprints and follow construction plans accurately
• Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights if necessary
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision

Responsibilities

• Measure and mark surfaces to lay out work according to blueprints or specifications
• Mix and apply mortar or other adhesives to create a strong bond between materials
• Lay bricks or stone in patterns and apply finishing touches such as pointing or caulking
• Install reinforcing bars or mesh for additional strength in structures
• Repair existing masonry structures by replacing damaged bricks or stones
• Cut and shape bricks or stones using hand tools or power tools as needed
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear while working
