Job summary

Hitachi Energy Technologies W.L.L. in Manama, Bahrain, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and test advanced electrical systems and components for multiple Hitachi product lines.

The role requires hands-on circuit analysis, CAD-based schematic/layout work, and collaboration with mechanical, software, and project teams across the lifecycle. Strong background in power systems and safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in electrical engineering.
• Experience in electrical design and development, preferably in power systems or related industries.
• Strong understanding of circuit theory, electromagnetics, and control systems.
• Proficiency with CAD software for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Experience with SPICE or MATLAB/Simulink.
• Familiarity with safety standards (UL, CE) and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and analyze electrical circuits, power systems, and control systems for new and existing products.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and component specifications.
• Perform calculations and simulations to ensure system performance, reliability, and safety.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and project managers.
• Conduct testing, debugging, and validation of electrical hardware and integrated systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during development, production, and field deployment.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, components, and methodologies to enhance product capabilities.
• Prepare design documentation, test plans, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety regulations.
