Job summary

Capital is seeking a senior leader to oversee regulatory compliance and governance across its investment activities in Bahrain. You will drive strategic objectives, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure adherence to the CBB Rulebook, CBB Law, and applicable Bahraini legislation.

You will lead 관계 with regulators, investors, and clients, while guiding risk management, reporting, and outsourcing controls. English fluency and a strong governance mindset are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; MBA or postgraduate qualification considered an advantage.
• 7–10 years in investment business, capital markets, brokerage, or related financial services, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Good understanding of markets, including OTC derivatives (CFDs, Knock‑Out Options), equities, and investment services landscape.
• Track record leading an organisation or unit with significant financial and operational responsibilities.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with regulators, investors, clients, and other key stakeholders.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, managing relationships with shareholders, regulators, and clients.
• High-level awareness of corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory obligations.
• Must satisfy regulator’s fit and proper requirements; integrity and financial soundness.
• Must not be employed at any other firm; disclose external non-exec positions for compatibility.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities; ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience driving growth and KPIs.
• High level of accountability, initiative, and collaboration.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and execution of the Company’s business strategy and objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure efficient business performance.
• Monitor business activities, financial performance, and budgeting processes.
• Promote and maintain a strong culture of compliance and risk awareness.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards.
• Act as a key contact with regulatory authorities and ensure timely reporting.
• Collaborate with internal control functions, including audit and risk, for governance oversight.
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Oversee outsourcing arrangements and ensure appropriate controls.
• Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies and action plans.
• Prepare regular reports for senior stakeholders including Board and shareholders.
• Stay informed on regulatory developments and industry best practices.
• Lead and support a team of professionals across business functions.
