Job summary

ALZAIN TRADING CO. W.L.L. seeks an experienced Diamond Bagging Operator to prepare and bag diamonds and gemstones according to product requirements.

The role involves reading job sheets, collecting materials from the supervisor, and ensuring accurate counts, shades, and labelling for each bag. With a minimum of five years in diamond bagging, candidates will perform stock tallies, inspection, and documentation while maintaining quality and timely delivery to the next process stage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Diamond bagging.
• Familiarity with the 4 Cs of diamond quality: colour, cut, clarity, carat.
• Ability to read designs and diamond requirement instructions carefully.
• Keep records and documents of diamond issue and receipt.
• Actively participate in department stock audits.

Responsibilities

• Collect job sheets and diamonds from supervisor.
• Bag the diamonds and gemstones as per job sheet requirements.
• Inspect, count, and weigh diamonds to match job sheet specs.
• Label bags and ensure proper segregation by shade and grade.
• Deliver completed bags to next process and report any discrepancies.

Job description

The individual at work counts diamonds and gemstones and puts into a bag as per the product requirement for any given jewellery design.

• Collect job sheet and diamonds from supervisor

• read job sheets to understand diamond and gemstones requirement
• collect diamonds and gemstones from supervisor

• Bag the diamonds and gemstones

• pick the diamonds and gemstones with pins
• inspect the diamonds and gemstones
• segregate diamonds as per the shades of diamonds and gemstones
• count and measure weight of the number of diamonds and gemstones and match with the requirement in the job sheet
• separate required number of diamonds and gemstones, having same shades and put into a bag
• label the bag as per job sheet instructions

• Report problems related to:

• mismatch in the number and shades of the diamonds and gemstones
• surface defects in the diamonds and gemstones
• shortage of diamonds and gemstones
• timely deliver diamond bags to next process
• complete bagging and fluting number of diamonds and gemstones as per target deliverable and quality approved by the supervisor
• Daily diamond and color stone stock tally and submit report to department head
• Ability to do diamond assortments
• Read design and diamond requirement instructions carefully.
• Keep records and documents of diamond issue and receipt
• Actively participate in department stock audit

Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Diamond bagging

• 4 C’s of diamond (colour, cut, clarity and carat)
