Avanta Works is seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator for a contract role based in Manama, Bahrain. You will set up and operate lathes, mills, drills, and grinders, interpreting blueprints to meet precise specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic blueprint understanding, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. This contract role offers a stable monthly salary and opportunities for extension based on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience as a machine operator preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Detail-oriented with excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various types of machinery including but not limited to lathes, mills, drills, and grinders.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate production.
• Monitor machines during operation to ensure they are running efficiently and make any necessary adjustments.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance and make any necessary repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.
