Job summary

Array Innovation in Bahrain calls for a Senior OutSystems Developer to lead enterprise-grade applications for banking and public sector clients. This hands-on role includes shaping architecture, coding, and delivering production-ready solutions with direct client interaction.

You will design, develop, and deploy OutSystems 11 apps, own architecture, integrate REST/SOAP services, optimise data models, ensure secure coding, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with architects, BAs, QA

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on OutSystems delivery on live projects.
• At least one active OutSystems certification (e.g. Associate Developer O11, Web Developer Specialist O11, Mobile Developer Specialist, Security Specialist, Architecture Specialist O11).
• Strong command of OutSystems Service Studio, Integration Studio, LifeTime.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Own solution architecture and module design following OutSystems best practices.
• Build and consume integrations via REST and SOAP with core banking and payment systems.

The Role

We're hiring a Senior OutSystems Developer to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade applications for clients in banking and the public sector. This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership: you'll shape the architecture, write the code, and stand behind what goes into production. You'll work alongside architects, BAs, QA, and client stakeholders from requirements through to go-live and support.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and deploy web and mobile applications on OutSystems 11, from requirement analysis through production release
• Own solution architecture and module design, applying OutSystems architecture best practices (4-Layer Canvas, reusable components, well-governed dependencies)
• Build and consume integrations - REST and SOAP services, database connectors, extensions, and third-party APIs including core banking and payment systems
• Write efficient data models and SQL; tune queries, screens, and server actions for performance and scalability
• Apply secure development practices: authentication and authorisation, role-based access, data protection, and remediation of findings from security and code reviews
• Manage environments and releases through LifeTime, including version control, deployment pipelines, and impact analysis
• Review peers' work, enforce coding standards, and mentor mid-level and junior developers
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause resolution
• Engage directly with client teams - running workshops, presenting solutions, and translating business requirements into technical designs
• Produce clear technical documentation and contribute to reusable assets across Array's delivery practice

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on delivery experience on live OutSystems projects (not training, lab, or incidental exposure)
• At least one active OutSystems certification from the following:
• Associate Developer (O11)
• Web Developer Specialist (O11)
• Mobile Developer Specialist
• Security Specialist
• Architecture Specialist (O11)
• Demonstrable track record delivering full application lifecycles on OutSystems, with examples you can walk us through
• Strong command of OutSystems Service Studio, Integration Studio, Service Center, and LifeTime
• Solid SQL and relational data modelling skills (SQL Server and/or Oracle)
• Proven experience building and debugging integrations with enterprise and legacy systems
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML for UI customisation
• Familiarity with Agile delivery and tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the confidence to present to senior client stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline

Nice to Have

• Experience delivering for banks, financial institutions, or government entities, particularly in the GCC
• Exposure to OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC) or O11-to-ODC migration
• Additional OutSystems certifications beyond the minimum requirement
• Reactive Web and mobile app delivery, including native plugins and app store releases
• Background in .NET, C#, or Java alongside low-code
