Job summary

Energy Avenue seeks a certified Gym Trainer to join Fortis Gym in Muharraq, Manama, Bahrain. The Trainer will design personalized programs, lead group classes, perform fitness assessments, and keep detailed records to ensure safety and member progress.

You will provide nutrition guidance within scope and collaborate with specialists when needed, while maintaining professional standards and gym safety on the floor.

Qualifications

• Certified personal trainer credential from a recognized organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ISSA).
• Diploma or degree in exercise science, kinesiology, sports science, or equivalent.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Strong knowledge of exercise science: strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, mobility, corrective exercise.
• Proficiency in conducting fitness assessments, creating periodized programs, and tracking measurable outcomes.
• Group class leadership: safe cueing, pacing, and class management skills.
• Basic nutrition counseling skills and ability to refer when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver personalized training programs based on assessments, goals, and fitness level.
• Lead small-group and scheduled group exercise classes with clear instruction and progressions.
• Perform initial fitness assessments, track client progress, and adjust plans to ensure results and safety.
• Teach proper exercise technique, spotting, and use of equipment; supervise the gym floor to prevent injuries.
• Provide nutrition guidance within scope of practice and refer clients to specialists when needed.
• Maintain professional records, scheduling, and follow-up communications to improve retention.
• Support facility upkeep: equipment checks, cleanliness, and adherence to health and safety protocols.
• Participate in team meetings.
