Hydro Building Systems Belgium in Lichtervelde is seeking a hands-on technician to prepare aluminium profiles for CNC, assemble windows, doors, and sliding systems, and build prototypes for testing.

You will conduct wind, water and air tightness tests, monitor progress, and collaborate with R&D on improvements. Training in woodworking or metalworking, and knowledge of Dutch is required; basic English/French welcomed.

Qualifications

• Training in woodworking or metalworking or equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of mechanics and a practical, solution‑oriented approach.
• Interest in prototypes, product development and technical testing.
• Accurate and quality‑oriented way of working.
• Motivation to learn and collaborate with colleagues from R&D.
• Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent knowledge of Dutch; basic English and French.

Responsabilités

• Prepare aluminium profiles for the CNC machine and assemble windows, doors, sliding systems and verandas.
• Build prototypes according to the test file and work with R&D on technical improvements and innovative solutions.
• Carry out wind, water and air tightness tests, supplemented by mechanical, burglary-resistance and acoustic tests.
• Monitor the test progress, report the results and propose improvements where needed.
• Prepare the required materials, coordinate internal and external orders and arrange the related logistics.
• Support official internal tests and tests at external certified laboratories.
• Work safely and carefully and keep the workshop and test environment orderly.
