Hydro Building Systems Belgium is seeking a hands-on technician to develop aluminium window, door and sliding systems at our Lichtervelde facility. You will prepare profiles for CNC, assemble products, and build prototypes for R&D testing, with close collaboration across international teams.
Training in woodworking or metalworking is valued, as is basic mechanics knowledge. Dutch fluency and familiarity with Word/Excel/Outlook are expected; English/French are a plus.

Would you like to help develop newaluminiumwindow,doorand sliding systems before they reach the market? In this hands-on role, you will build prototypes, carry outtestsand work with R&D to find technically strong solutions.
Hydro Building Systemsdevelops innovativealuminiumbuilding systems for the European market.Inour R&D and test centre inLichtervelde, you will work closely with international product development andimmediatelysee the results of your work.
You will preparealuminiumprofiles for the CNC machine and assemble windows, doors, slidingsystemsand verandas.
You will build prototypes according to the test file and work with R&D on technical improvements and innovative solutions.
You will carry out wind,waterand air tightness tests, supplemented by mechanical, burglary-resistanceand acoustic tests.
You willmonitorthe test progress, report theresultsand propose improvements where needed.
You will prepare the required materials, coordinate internal and externalordersand arrange the relatedlogistics.
You will support official internal tests and tests at external certified laboratories.
You will work safely and carefully and keep the workshop and test environment orderly.
You have a technical mindset, enjoy hands-onworkand get energy from building and testing new products. Experience iswelcome, butnotrequired: school leavers will alsohave the opportunity todevelop in this role with us.
Training in woodworking or metalworking, or an equivalent level through experience.
Basic knowledge of mechanics and a practical, solution-oriented approach.
Interestin prototypes, productdevelopmentand technical testing.
An accurateand quality-oriented way of working.
The motivation to learn and collaborate with colleagues from R&D.
Basic knowledge of Word,Exceland Outlook.
Excellent knowledge of Dutch and basic knowledge of English and French.
Experience as a PVC oraluminiumjoiner.
A certificate for overhead crane or forklift operation.
