Job summary

Huxley in Bruxelles is seeking a Vulnerabilities Expert for a contract opportunity to transform vulnerability management into a risk-based, measurable governance-driven process across applications, infrastructure and groups. You will redesign the end-to-end lifecycle, drive remediation and reporting, and provide management with clear visibility on risks and trends in a 50% onsite / 50% remote setup.

Qualifications

• Experience designing or improving vulnerability management end-to-end.
• Ability to define roles, workflows, SLAs and policies in security.
• Strong knowledge of CVSS and risk-based prioritisation.
• Hands-on with vulnerability tools to manage scans and assets.
• Ability to build dashboards and KPIs for governance and reporting.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls and NIS2.
• Solid understanding of OS, networks, cloud and applications.
• Clear communication and stakeholder influence without direct authority.
• Dutch and/or French for business conversations; strong English skills.

Vulnerabilities Expert - Contract Opportunity in Bruxelles

We are reaching out about an exciting contract role with our client, a leading organisation in the banking sector based in Bruxelles. They are looking for a Vulnerabilities Expert to transform vulnerability management into a risk-based, measurable, and governance-driven process, working closely with application, infrastructure and group-level teams. You will redesign the end-to-end lifecycle, drive remediation and reporting, and give management clear visibility on risks and trends, in a 50% onsite / 50% remote setup.

Key Skills & Experience

• Vulnerability Management: At least 3 years designing or improving vulnerability management processes end-to-end, including prioritisation and remediation.

• Process Design & Governance: Experience defining roles, workflows, SLAs, risk acceptance, policies, standards and procedures in security environments.

• Risk-Based Prioritisation: Strong knowledge of CVSS, exploitability analysis and contextual risk-based prioritisation.

• Vulnerability Tools: Hands-on with Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7 or Tanium to manage scans, coverage and asset alignment.

• Metrics & Reporting: Building and automating dashboards and KPIs/KRIs (scan coverage, MTTR, SLA compliance, exposure, backlog ageing) using tools like Power BI, Tableau or Splunk.

• Security Frameworks: Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls and NIS2, ideally within regulated industries such as financial services.

• Technical Background: Solid understanding of operating systems, networks, cloud and application technologies.

• Soft Skills: Structured and pragmatic, highly analytical, able to communicate complex topics clearly and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

• Languages: Dutch, French sufficient for business conversations, and strong English written and verbal skills.
