Septentrio in Leuven is seeking a Market Portfolio Manager to drive growth in industrial automation and geospatial workflows, with focus on construction, mining and agriculture. You will bridge market needs with sales, product management and marketing, developing insights and strategies for long-term opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or a related field.
• Proven B2B experience in one or more relevant industrial markets, such as construction, mining, agriculture, surveying, machine control, automation, autonomous systems or high-precision positioning.
• Experience working with technically complex products or solutions and understanding how technology choices translate into customer and business value.
• Experience working with equipment manufacturers, solution providers and technology partners, and understanding how they make product and portfolio decisions.
• Experience in GNSS, navigation, geomatics, industrial automation, sensors, electronics or related technology markets is highly valued.

• Define and maintain the global market vision and strategy for assigned markets, including positioning, differentiation and long-term value proposition.
• Identify portfolio priorities, attractive applications, growth opportunities and investment needs.
• Represent the market perspective in Product Management, R&D, Marketing and Sales discussions.
• Support Sales with market insights, competitive intelligence, positioning and customer knowledge.
• Identify strategic accounts and opportunities that can validate or accelerate the market strategy.
• Support the transition from market development to active selling and ensure a smooth handover to Sales when opportunities become commercially mature.

Market Portfolio Manager – Heavy Equipment & Geospatial Workflows

The Job

Septentrio is a leader in high-precision GNSS positioning technology, providing advanced receivers and positioning solutions that enable reliable and accurate navigation, automation and geospatial applications worldwide.

As a Market Portfolio Manager, you will drive the growth of Septentrio's business in industrial automation markets and geospatial workflows, with an initial focus on construction, mining and agriculture. You play a central role between the market and Septentrio sales, product management and marketing.

You will develop market and customer insights, identify and validate growth opportunities, and translate them into market and portfolio strategies.

Working closely with equipment manufacturers, solution providers, customers, you will help ensure a relevant, competitive and differentiated portfolio for markets where reliable and accurate positioning is critical. The role has a mid- to long-term perspective, typically two to five years.

Your Mission

Market Intelligence & Opportunity Development

• Develop a deep understanding of assigned markets, customer activities, workflows, value chains, competitive dynamics and emerging technologies.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both commercial and technical audiences.
• Comfortable working with mature markets as well as exploratory opportunities with longer and less certain development paths.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis, approximately 20–30% of the time.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in additional European languages is an asset.
