Vandemoortele in Gent, Belgium, seeks a Treasury Officer to join the central Treasury team. You monitor daily cash positions, support liquidity management, and assist in cash forecasting and reporting.

You execute treasury transactions, support cash pooling and intercompany funding, manage bank accounts, and contribute to FX and interest rate risk management; you also participate in treasury projects and cooperate with accounting, controlling, tax and finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
• Fluent in English with good knowledge of French.

Responsabilités

• Monitor daily cash positions and support liquidity management.
• Assist in cash forecasting and treasury reporting.
• Execute and control treasury transactions and payments.
• Support cash pooling, intercompany funding, and bank account management.
• Contribute to FX and interest rate risk management activities.
• Participate in treasury projects related to systems, integrations, automation, and process improvements.
• Maintain relationships with banking partners and internal stakeholders.
• Support compliance with treasury policies, controls, and governance requirements.
• Assist with treasury analyses and management reporting.
• Collaborate with accounting, controlling, tax, and finance teams.

Your key responsibilities

Vandemoortele is expanding rapidly through acquisitions, creating engaging treasury challenges in a fast-changing environment. To support this growth, we are looking for a Treasury Officer in the central Treasury team.
As a Treasury Officer:

• You monitor daily cash positions and support liquidity management activities.
• You assist in cash forecasting and treasury reporting.
• You execute and control treasury transactions and payments.
• You support cash pooling, intercompany funding, and bank account management.
• You contribute to foreign exchange and interest rate risk management activities.
• You participate in treasury projects related to systems, integrations, automation, process improvements, and digitalization.
• You maintain relationships with banking partners and internal stakeholders.
• You support compliance with treasury policies, controls, and governance requirements.
• You assist with treasury analyses and management reporting.
• You collaborate closely with accounting, controlling, tax, and finance teams across the organization.
• You contribute to initiatives aimed at optimizing working capital, cash management, and treasury processes.

Are you the one we’re looking for?

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A first experience in treasury, corporate finance, or financial risk management is a strong advantage.
• You have an affinity with financial instruments, markets, and banking operations.
• You have strong analytical and numerical abilities and you communicate clearly
• You’re flexible and comfortable handling the wide range of activities that come with a treasury role and you are able to meet deadlines
• You act with integrity, value transparency, and approach situations with maturity and diplomacy.
• You work independently when needed, but also thrive in collaboration with other departments.
• You’re versatile and open-minded, ready to assess how a rapidly changing world impacts treasury operations.
• You’re fluent in English and have a good knowledge of French.
• You’re proficient in MS Office and eager to learn new programs and systems.
