Médiane Benelux in Belgium is seeking a Test Assembly Engineer to join railway projects focusing on safety-critical systems. You will handle assembly, wiring, power integration and mechanical setup of test benches while ensuring compliance with railway standards and thorough documentation.

You will collaborate with system, test and quality engineers, support Bring-up and testing, and contribute to traceability and configuration control throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in electromechanics, electronics, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in assembly and integration of test benches or industrial systems.
• Strong hands-on wiring, cabling, and power integration; ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.

Responsabilités

• Assemble and integrate railway test systems, racks and prototypes (electrical, mechanical, power).
• Perform wiring and cabling based on electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Install and configure power supplies, distribution units and test equipment.
• Support system bring-up, functional testing and first-level troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with railway safety, quality and documentation standards.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation (as-built files, wiring diagrams, procedures, BOMs).
• Collaborate with system, test and quality engineers throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Description

Within the railway sector, you will join projects involving safety-critical systems and play a key role in their integration and validation.

As a Test Assembly Engineer, you contribute directly to the reliability, quality, and readiness of railway test systems, from physical assembly to documentation and traceability.

You are responsible for the assembly, wiring, power integration, and mechanical setup of test benches and system prototypes, ensuring full compliance with railway standards and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and integrate railway test systems, racks, and prototypes (electrical, mechanical, and power aspects)
• Perform wiring and cabling based on electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Install and configure power supplies, power distribution units, and test equipment
• Support system bring-up, functional testing, and first-level troubleshooting
• Ensure compliance with railway safety, quality, and documentation standards
• Produce and maintain technical documentation (as-built files, wiring diagrams, procedures, BOMs)
• Collaborate closely with system, test, and quality engineers throughout the project lifecycle
• Apply strict safety rules and contribute to configuration control and traceability

Required Profile

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• High level of rigor and attention to detail, especially regarding documentation
• Autonomous, structured, and solution-oriented
• Comfortable working in regulated and safety-critical environments
• Experience in the railway sector is a strong asset
