Technical Operations & Supply Chain Manager
As Technical Operations & Supply ChainManager, you take end-to-end ownership of our industrial operations: you leadthe teams that turn our engineering designs into reliable, field-readyremediation systems — produced in our workshops (including the custom jobsiteparts for each project), planned and scheduled to match project timelines,sourced efficiently, and delivered on time to project sites worldwide. You alsohave direct managerial responsibility for our Project/Site Supervisors, thefield leaders we deploy to prepare, install, commission, operate and dismantleour systems on projects. You report directly to the COO and play a key role inscaling up our production as the company grows internationally. You will beable to count on the hands-on support of the current leader, who will graduallystep back and transfer his responsibilities to you, ensuring a smoothtransition.
Responsibilities
You are in charge of our headquarters shopfloorsin Neder-over-Heembeek & Nivelles, of the supply chain (procurement,planning and logistics teams), and of the technical profiles executing andsupervising the work both on the shopfloors and on our project sites. TheProject/Site Supervisors report directly to you. In practice, this means:
Manufacturing & workshop operations
- Organize, plan and supervise the day-to-dayactivities of the Neder-over-Heembeek and Nivelles shopfloors: fabrication,assembly, testing, maintenance and refurbishment of our thermal remediationequipment
- Ensure equipment is produced on time, on budgetand to specification for deployment on project sites in Belgium and abroad
- Review and challenge the quality of technicalwork; set quality standards and drive root-cause resolution of non-conformities
- Enforce health, safety and environmental ruleson the shopfloors and ensure regulatory compliance of equipment andinstallations
Supply chain
- Lead and structure the procurement, planning andlogistics teams
- Define the sourcing strategy: supplier selectionand negotiation, framework agreements, supplier performance and risk management
- Own the planning process: align workshopcapacity, material availability and project schedules together with the projectand engineering teams
- Organize national and international logistics —including the shipment of heavy industrial equipment to remediation sites — andkeep inventory levels under control
- Lead, coach and develop the Project/SiteSupervisors as their direct manager; recruit and onboard supervisors, setobjectives, conduct performance reviews and support their technical andleadership development
- Plan and allocate supervisors to projectsworldwide according to project schedules, technical requirements, language,experience and availability; ensure mission readiness and continuity
- Oversee the supervisors’ contribution across thefull site lifecycle — preparation and shipment, installation, commissioning,treatment follow-up, dismantling and site inventory — while holding themaccountable for safe, high-quality and efficient execution
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineeringand HSE to define priorities, clarify roles and milestones, monitor siteprogress and resolve operational or resource issues
- Ensure consistent field reporting, client-facingprofessionalism and compliance with legal, HSE and internal procedures; turnsite feedback, incidents and lessons learned into improvements in equipment,methods and training
People & leadership
- Lead, coach and develop the technical profilesworking on the shopfloors and on our project sites (technicians, Project/SiteSupervisors and team leaders), creating a strong and coordinated technicalcommunity across workshop and field operations
- Recruit and onboard new team members, setobjectives and conduct performance reviews
- Act as the bridge between the workshop, supplychain, engineering and project teams
- Industrialize our innovative and evolvingproduct range: design-to-manufacturing handover, standardization, technicaldocumentation and process reliability
- Define and monitor KPIs on cost, quality, leadtime and safety; report on them to the executive team
- Drive continuous-improvement initiatives (leanpractices, make-or-buy analyses, capacity and investment planning)
Yourprofile
- 10 to 15 years of experience in an industrialenvironment where you had to industrialize innovative products
- Proven experience leading technical profileswithin the industry (metallurgy, construction, heavy equipment or equivalent)
- Able to review and challenge the quality oftechnical work, down to the workshop floor
- Hands-on command of procurement, planning andlogistics in a project-driven, low-volume / high-mix environment
- Comfortable with ERP systems and data-drivenmanagement (KPIs, dashboards); lean or continuous-improvement experience is astrong asset
- Master's degree in engineering, or equivalentthrough experience
- Fluent in French and English; willing to travelto our project sites
