Tata Consultancy Services in Belgium seeks an experienced Technical Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions. You will guide development teams and align solutions with business goals and industry best practices.

You will design architectures for enterprise applications, drive PoCs, and define non-functional requirements, SLOs, and observability strategies while mentoring engineers and reviewing code quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Architect or similar architecture leadership role.
• Architecture certifications are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OVH).
• Deep understanding of microservices and distributed systems architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and SDLC practices.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders and leadership abilities.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and implement technical architectures and implementation guidelines for enterprise applications and systems.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks related to performance, security, dependencies, and technical debt.
• Define NFRs, SLOs, performance budgets, and scalability strategies.
• Implement observability and reliability practices (logging, monitoring, tracing, graceful degradation, backpressure).
• Stay current with emerging technologies and architecture trends.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to define architecture strategies, guide development teams, and ensure solutions align with organizational goals and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement technical architectures and implementation guidelines for enterprise applications and systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze technical requirements.
• Develop solution prototypes and proof-of-concepts (PoCs).
• Ensure technical solutions align with business objectives and strategic goals.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate tools, frameworks, and technologies.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, including component designs, sequence diagrams, API specifications, runbooks, and test strategies.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to development teams.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in software architecture and design patterns, including layered, event-driven, and domain-driven architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or OVH.
• Deep understanding of microservices and distributed systems architectures.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with back-end technologies including Java, Python, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems and data modeling.
• Understanding of security architecture, best practices, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with APIs and integration frameworks.
• Knowledge of observability tooling, monitoring, logging, tracing, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
• Familiarity with architecture documentation standards such as C4 Model and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Architect or similar architecture leadership role.
• Relevant architecture certifications are an advantage.
