Fike Corporation in Belgium (Herentals) is seeking a Technical Accounting Lead to oversee accurate financial processing and reporting for European entities. You will ensure efficient month-end and year-end closings and collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, Business Systems, and external auditors.
You will act as a subject matter expert, supporting less experienced colleagues and driving harmonization of accounting processes across Europe.

As a Technical Accounting Lead , you will be a key member of the European Finance team. You will be responsible for the accurate financial processing and reporting of the European entities, ensuring that month-end and year-end closing activities are completed efficiently and accurately.
You will work closely with colleagues from Accounting, Treasury, Business Systems, and external auditors. In addition, you will act as a subject matter expert within the team and support less experienced colleagues.
Coordinate and support the monthly financial closing process, including journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations.
Review and support the consolidation of the European financial results (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement).
Contribute to harmonizing and improving accounting processes across the various European entities.
Analyze balance sheet and profit & loss accounts and take appropriate action to resolve discrepancies.
Prepare and coordinate external audits and statutory reporting for the different European entities.
Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensure the preparation of audit documentation and reporting.
Develop and maintain internal control measures for the European organizations.
Manage and maintain the Chart of Accounts, including statutory accounts.
Support financial reporting related to transfer pricing (Local File & Master File).
Contribute to legal and insurance-related matters for the European entities.
Participate in complex finance projects and actively contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies.
You have strong analytical skills, work accurately, and enjoy tackling complex financial challenges. You take ownership of your work and thrive in an international organization where collaboration is key.
In addition, you have:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a similar finance-related field.
Relevant experience in accounting and/or auditing.
A solid knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with financial consolidation and statutory reporting.
Excellent communication skills in an international environment.
A proactive, independent, and hands-on mindset.
Strong Excel skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
A Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
