BD Temse is seeking a Team Leader DC2 to oversee the outbound goods flow at the European Distribution Center. You will organize daily operations, guide your team, and own results in collaboration with colleagues across the network.

The role requires warehouse or logistics experience, strong people management and communication skills, and a hands-on, solution‑oriented mindset. Shift work (early/late) is required, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

• Efficient planning and coordination of resources to order volumes.
• Start up and close warehouse activities.
• Manage vacation planning and deployment of temporary staff.
• Coordinate with other teams within the EDC.

About the role

Als Team Leader DC2 ben je verantwoordelijk voor de operationele verwerking van uitgaande goederenstromen binnen het distributiecentrum. Je zorgt voor een efficiële organisatie van de dagelijkse activiteiten en begeleidt je team naar optimale prestaties.

Je neemt ownership over de resultaten van jouw team en zorgt voor een vlotte samenwerking en afstemming met collega’s binnen het European Distribution Center (EDC).

Main responsibilities will include:

Werkorganisatie

• Efficiële plannen en afstemmen van resources op de ordervolumes
• Opstarten en afsluiten van warehouseactiviteiten
• Beheer van verlofplanning en inzet van tijdelijk personeel
• Afstemming met andere teams binnen het EDC

People Management

• Aansturen, coachen en ontwikkelen van medewerkers
• Verantwoordelijk voor rekrutering, onboarding en evaluaties
• Stimuleren van een positieve en performante teamcultuur

Incident Management

• Snel en adequaat reageren op operationele incidenten
• Uitvoeren van eerste interventies en coördineren van grotere issues
• Preventief handelen om herhaling te vermijden

Communicatie

• Zorgen voor een duidelijke en tijdige informatiedoorstroming
• Actieve deelname aan operationele meetings
• Opvolgen van uitgaande zendingen en escalaties

Projecten & Continuous Improvement

• Actief bijdragen aan optimalisatie- en verbeterprojecten
• Initiatieven nemen om efficiëntie en productiviteit te verhogen

Kwaliteit

• Implementeren en bewaken van kwaliteitsstandaarden
• Analyseren en oplossen van afwijkingen
• Rapporteren van prestaties en verbeteracties
• Strikte naleving van veiligheids- en beveiligingsprocedures
• Signaleren van risico’s en bijdragen aan een veilige werkomgeving

About you

• Ervaring binnen een warehouse- of logistieke omgeving
• Technisch inzicht en affiniteit met logistieke systemen en processen
• Sterke people manager met uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden
• Hands-on, oplossingsgericht en stressbestendig
• Teamspeler met leiderschapservaring
• Affiniteit met automatisering is een plus
• Bereidheid om te werken in een wisselend ploegensysteem (vroeg/laat) 06:00 tot 14:00 en 14:00 tot 22:00.
