Dell is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for their Security and Resilience Platform team in Wemmel, Belgium. In this pivotal role, you will build relationships with security leadership, design comprehensive security architectures, and deliver compelling presentations to clients. You will leverage your extensive experience to guide customers on their cyber resilience journey.

The ideal candidate has 8–12 years in presales, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of security frameworks. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.

Senior Systems Engineer, Security Resiliency Platforms (Pre‑Sales)

As part of Dell Technologies’ Security Resiliency Platforms team, our Senior Systems Engineers partner closely with account teams to guide customers on their cyber resilience journey and ensure our solutions address their most critical security and business outcomes.

We lead the technical sales motion for security and resiliency solutions across hybrid and multicloud environments. From discovery workshops and executive briefings, to architecture design, demos and proofs of concept, we translate business risk into secure, resilient architectures built on Dell Technologies’ portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead technical relationships with security and IT leadership (CISO, CIO, Heads of Infrastructure, Risk & Compliance) in highly sophisticated customer accounts
• Run discovery and risk‑focused workshops to understand security requirements, resilience objectives and regulatory constraints, and anticipate needs beyond the current solution scope
• Design end‑to‑end security and resiliency architectures using Dell Technologies platforms and services (e.g. data protection, cyber recovery, Zero Trust–aligned architectures), producing high‑quality proposals, bills of materials and design documents
• Deliver compelling technical presentations, demos and proofs of concept, clearly articulating how our solutions mitigate risk, enhance resilience and support business outcomes
• Validate solution fit and operability by working with customer technical teams to assess integration into their existing security stack, infrastructure and operational processes. Lead advanced systems integration discussions, providing technical expertise across storage, data protection, cyber recovery, identity, networking and cloud to ensure a secure, scalable and supportable solution design. Collaborate closely with Sales, Product and Services teams to shape opportunities, respond to RFPs/RFIs and provide feedback from the field to influence roadmap and go‑to‑market

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in technical presales or consultative solution selling, ideally within cybersecurity, infrastructure, or hybrid cloud, working with large enterprise accounts.
• Strong communication, executive‑level presentation and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to engage C‑level stakeholders (CISO, CIO, CTO) and act as a trusted security advisor.
• Deep understanding of security and resiliency domains, including data protection, backup & recovery, BC/DR, cyber recovery, Zero Trust principles, and industry frameworks such as NIST or ISO; plus familiarity with SecOps tooling (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, EPP).
• Ability to translate business, compliance, and risk requirements into practical solution architectures, balancing technical depth with business outcomes and collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Relevant education and certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP) are preferred, along with fluency in English; additional languages (Dutch/French) are a plus for engaging across the Belgian market.
