Description du poste

A leading European electricity transmission system operator at the heart of Belgium's and Germany's energy transition. The Group operates across two main entities — one in Belgium and one in Germany — and plays a central role in ensuring the reliability and sustainability of electricity supply across both countries. As part of the first wave of CSRD implementers, the Group published its first CSRD-compliant sustainability report in March 2025 and is now entering a phase of process stabilisation, governance improvement, and data digitalisation.

Role overview

The Sustainability Reporting Specialist supports the Group Sustainability Reporting team in implementing and improving CSRD-compliant reporting processes across both entities. The role is positioned at Medior level (approximately 5 years of relevant experience) with a strong hands‑on operational focus. The specialist works as a cross‑functional connector, engaging stakeholders from Finance, Controlling, HR, Sustainability, Infrastructure, Asset Management, IT, and external auditors across Belgium and Germany.

The role covers three workstreams with clearly defined time allocations.

Workstreams and responsibilities
Workstream 1 — Governance chapters for the 2026 CSRD audit (35%)

Reporting to the Group Social Sustainability Reporting Officer.

  • Drive stakeholder engagement for the 2026 data collection covering 2–3 governance‑related datapoints for the Sustainability Statements
  • Document existing processes for governance over human rights
  • Coordinate the CSRD audit process with internal stakeholders for the governance chapters
Workstream 2 — General requirements implementation (ESRS2) (30%)

Reporting to the Group Sustainability Reporting Manager.

  • Prepare disclosures for the General/ESRS2 section of the 2026 Sustainability Statements
  • Support operational aspects of the Double Materiality Assessment
  • Engage stakeholders across the Group to ensure alignment and accuracy of reported information
Workstream 3 — Online sustainability data and policies catalog (35%)

Reporting to the Group Sustainability Reporting Manager.

  • Lead and own the delivery of an online sustainability catalog on the Elia Group website, ensuring it is live according to the agreed project plan
  • Implement decisions taken by the Group sustainability reporting and Communications teams for this deliverable
  • Collaborate across Communication, Digital, Strategy, Sustainability, and Compliance departments
