Qnity in Newark, DE is seeking a day shift First Line Leader to guide production teams on the floor, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery. The role requires coordinating shift activities and aligning with site goals.

You will coach staff, build capabilities, and manage staffing while upholding Lean principles and continuous improvement. Occasional weekends and overtime may be required to support business needs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading industrial teams in manufacturing.
• Understanding of Lean principles and processes.
• Knowledge of process safety and personal safety.
• Experience with digital tools and systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.

• Monitors and makes adjustments to controllable costs for shift (i.e. overtime, operating supplies)

• Completes Leader Standard Work practices, including frequent line walks

• Initiates awards and recognition for individuals and/or teams, and celebrates area’s accomplishments

• Organizes and manages staffing levels to ensure adequate support for production needs

• Addresses employee relations and performance issues effectively during the shift.

• Able to provide coverage on weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays as scheduled, on a regular basis; Able to work overtime as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, military, or similar setting

• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and operations.

• Knowledge of process safety and personal safety principles

• Experience using digital tools and systems.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Hours and Shift

This is a day shift leadership position supporting a continuous manufacturing operation. The First Line Leader is expected to maintain a regular presence on the production floor and will be required to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, holidays, and overtime, to support business needs, production requirements, and employee development.
