Alsinova is seeking Statistical Programmer Consultants to join our Belgium-based consulting team. You will provide statistical consultancy for client projects across pharma, design experiments, analyze data, and prepare client-ready reports for regulators.

The role involves automation of tasks using RMarkdown and RShiny, and developing training materials for end users. You will work on multidisciplinary projects with fluent English required; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in statistics with BCs in Mathematics; PhD is a plus.
• 2-4 years of experience as statistician in pharmaceutical product development.
• Strong knowledge of multivariate analysis and experimental design.
• Proficiency with R, RShiny, R Markdown, GitHub, JMP and SAS (base, stat).
• Familiar with fixed/mixed effects ANOVA, regression, Bayesian stats is a plus.
• Fluent English; French a plus.

What we will accomplish together

Alsinova is looking for Statistical Programmer Consultants to join our consulting team for clients' projects (from big pharma to small biotech) based in Belgium.

Your mission (should you decide to accept it)

Your potential challenges will be various, depending on the clients' priorities. The list below gives you examples of our classic activities.

Your daily activities

• Provide statistical consultancy for both small and large molecules, in relation with method robustness, process comparability and validation, specification determination, process optimization and control.
• Be responsible for designing the experiments, analysing the data, and writing reports and/or presentations for internal and/or external clients, including Regulatory Authorities.
• Be involved in building automations for repetitive tasks.
• Automation and optimization of the statistical analysis, automation of reporting using Rmarkdown and RShiny.
• Develop/give training packages for end users.

You

• Master's degree in statistics (with BCs in Mathematics), PhD in statistics is a plus.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience as statistician in product development within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in multidisciplinary projects.
• Very good knowledge of multivariate analysis (regression analysis, PCA, PLS), multivariate statistical process control and experimental designs. Knowledge about Bayesian statistics is a plus.
• Proficiency with R, RShiny, R Markdown, GitHub, JMP and SAS (base, stat) is expected.
• Familiar with fixed and mixed effects ANOVA models, variance component decomposition, regression analysis, multivariate analysis, Bayesian statistics, non‑parametric statistics, statistical process control and experimental designs.
• Other statistical packages knowledge is an asset (Python, …).
• Functional programming is an asset.
• Good communication and teaching skills.
• Good customer‑oriented view.
• Flexibility and willingness to develop a good base understanding (not directly linked to statistics) of the different supported areas (bioassays, analytical chemistry, process chemistry, packaging, etc).
• Capable of dealing with very different issues coming from different areas at the same time.
• Fluent English is required.
• French is a plus.
