Alsinova, an Astek Company based in Belgium, seeks Statistical Programmer Consultants to support clients from small biotech to big pharma. You will design experiments, analyze data, and prepare technical reports for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities.

You will improve automation of analyses, develop training materials, and contribute to method robustness and process optimization in diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge in multivariate analysis, regression, PCA/PLS and experimental designs.
• Experience with Bayesian statistics considered a plus.
• Strong statistical consultancy and report writing for regulators and clients.

• Provide statistical consultancy for projects across pharma categories; contribute to method robustness and process comparability.

What we will accomplish together:

Alsinova is looking on a regular basis for Statistical Programmer Consultants to join our consulting team for clients’ projects (from big pharma to small biotech) based in Belgium.

Your mission (should you decide to accept it):

Your potential challenges will be various, depending on the clients’ priorities. The list below gives you examples of our classic activities.

Your daily activities will be:

• Provide statistical consultancy for both small and large molecules, in relation with method robustness, process comparability and validation, specification determination, process optimization and control.
• Be responsible for designing the experiments, analyzing the data, and writing reports and/or presentations for internal and/or external clients, including Regulatory Authorities.
• Be involved in the build-in automations for repetitive tasks.
• Automation and optimization of the statistical analysis, automation of reporting using Rmarkdown and RShiny.
• Develop/give training packages for end users.

• Good communication and teaching skills.
• Good customer-oriented view.
• Flexibility and willingness to develop a good base understanding (not directly linked to statistics) of the different supported areas (bioassays, analytical chemistry, process chemistry, packaging, etc).
• Capable to deal with very different issues coming from different areas at the same time.

You:

• Master degree in statistics (with BCs in Mathematics), PhD in statistics is a plus.

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience as statistician in product development within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in multidisciplinary projects.
• Very good knowledge of multivariate analysis (regression analysis, PCA, PLS), multivariate statistical process control and experimental designs. Knowledge about Bayesian statistics is a plus.
• Proficiency with R, RShiny, R Markdown, GITHub, JMP and SAS (base, stat) is expected.
• Familiar with fixed and mixed effects ANOVA models variance component decomposition, regression analysis, multivariate analysis, Bayesian statistics, non-parametric statistics, statistical process control and experimental designs.
• Proficiency with JMP, R and SAS (base, stat) is expected.
• Other statistical packages knowledge is an asset (Python, …).
• Functional programming is an asset.

• Fluent English is required.
• French is a plus.

• Good communication and teaching skills.
