Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting a Staff Project Engineer E&I in Geel, Belgium. You will design, implement and qualify electrical and instrumentation solutions for process equipment, acting as project lead for E&I scope projects and driving successful delivery.

You will ensure compliance, safety and quality, while collaborating with internal and external partners across the organization to support the Geel site’s API production and development efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of experience, preferably in a Pharma/GMP or chemical industry environment.
Safety and quality are paramount in all work.
Strong soft skills to communicate with partners across different levels.

Responsibilities

As a Staff Project Engineer E&I, you design, implement and qualify electrical and instrumentation solutions for our process equipment.
This means you Act as Project lead or core-team member for E&I scope projects, driving successful project delivery.
Ensure that our systems are compliant and fit for the intended use, ensuring a smooth release for operational use.
Establish effective working relationships and partnerships with internal and external partners.

Who we’re looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of experience, preferably in a Pharma/GMP or chemical industry environment.
An enthusiastic, standout colleague with a “Can do” mentality.
You love working in a team, hearing different points of view and discussing them with your peers.
An individual who feels that safety and quality are of paramount importance.
An individual with strong soft skills, who can communicate succesfully with partners across different levels of our organization.
Experience in electricity (LV), instrumentation communication protocols, ATEX and qualification are strongly desired but can be compensated with a high level of eagerness to learn.
A person with “digital” embedded in the DNA.
You acquired a master’s degree or equal trough experience.
Preferred fields of study are Engineering or Science.
