Wlgroup is seeking a hands-on senior engineer to oversee a cyber defence monitoring platform. The role blends development in Splunk dashboards and data models with ongoing operational support for the team that uses the platform daily.

You will also serve as the technical bridge to the development contractor, validating what they deliver before it reaches production and ensuring ownership over the platform's roadmap and releases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience with Splunk dashboards and data models.
• Experience with data collections, macros and scheduled searches.
• Scripting experience in Python or Bash and REST APIs.
• Understanding of vulnerability management and incident response.
• Excellent communication and English proficiency.
• Ability to balance operational support with development work.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and maintain dashboards, visualisations and interface components in Splunk.
• Build and optimise data models, collections, scheduled searches, macros and related objects.
• Implement enhancements and fixes driven by operational priority and user feedback.
• Help bring new data sources and tools onto the platform.
• Write automation and supporting scripts in Python, Bash or similar.
• Give day-to-day technical and operational support to the users.
• Act as the technical bridge between operational needs and the development contractor.
• Gather and prioritise user feedback and translate into technical requirements.
• Validate and test contractor deliverables before production and support early life for new releases.
• Monitor dashboard performance, data quality and platform health.
