The Business Unit (BU) Consumer Goods & Industry manages the complete supply chain flow with a focus on warehousing from several Business Lines like Textiles, DIY products, Sporting Goods, Aftermarket logistics and E-commerce. KATOEN NATIE has 181 sites in 40 countries in Europe, North America, South America and the Far East and has more than 18.000 people active in operational, staff and management functions.

The function consists of 2 major responsibilities:

As a Project Manager you are responsible for full Warehouse business implementation of new Business in team with Operations, Engineering, Key Account, Systems Department, Customs and last but not least the Customer.

• Coordination of teams that are responsible for the execution of all tasks (WMS setup, Building fit out, training, …)
• Control over scope / budget / timing in order to achieve a successful start-up for KTN as well as for Customer reaching the forecasted KPI’s and profitability.
• Manage lessons learnt process toward the different teams on operational level as well as financial level

As a Solutions Engineer you manage in team RFI/RFP/RFQ and deliver competitive concepts based on customer requirements.

Join and support Business Development team in negotiations with new customers.

Your profile

• Proven track record: at least 5 years of experience in logistics/warehouse operations
• Strong analytical skills (cost calculations, ROI, productivities, process design, …)
• People manager & customer focused
• Problem solver, hands‑on, team player
• Able to cope with short deadlines
• Languages: English is a must, French and Dutch are a plus
• Willingness to travel abroad is a must (maximum periods of 3 months)
