Daikin is seeking a Software Test Engineer in Ghent, Belgium, to drive embedded, cloud and app testing across multiple platforms. The role emphasizes test strategy, automation, and collaboration with project leaders and developers to ensure high-quality software and robust test coverage.

You will contribute to continuous improvement and work in a hybrid setup with on-site and home-based days, helping to advance climate-focused products at a major European tech hub.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required and relevant field.
• Experience with test methodologies, management tools and test automation.
• ISTQB certification, Robot Framework and Jenkins are desirable.
• Experience across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS).
• Embedded software experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Define test strategies and plans; coordinate manual and automated testing for Apps, Cloud/PC and embedded systems.
• Write complex test code/scripts and build test harnesses and infrastructure.

TheEMEA Electrics and Controls department, located at Tech Lane Ghent Science Park, is one of thefastest growingdepartments withing the EMEA Development Centre of Daikin.This department is responsible fordevelopment and improvement of controls: room controls, unit controls, App and cloud controls.

Throughout the development steps we combine "in house" development and strategic cooperation with external partners toenhance our products, keeping them amongst the best in the industry.

As a Software Test Engineer, your eye for bugsand anything that could simply be improved will make you successful in this roll

How does your day look like

• You define test strategies, make test plans and coordinate the execution manual and automatic for Apps, Cloud/PC and embedded
• You write complex code/scripts to test systems, implementing test harnesses and infrastructure as necessary
• You influence better software design, promote engineering practise, bug prevention strategies, testability, accessibility, privacy and other advanced quality concepts across products
• You work closely with project leaders and the development team to build a comprehensive picture of velocity, test coverage through existing or new infrastructure and quality

• You have a relevant Master's degree

• You have experience in:
• Test methodologies, Test Management Tools and Test Automation
• ISTQB, Robot Framework, Jenkins, IoT, ...
