IT Link Group is seeking a Software Technical Lead in Belgium to steer a team of developers delivering safety-critical SIL4 software. You will own QCD for releases, bridge multiple engineering teams, and arbitrate baseline changes to maintain stability.

Strong programming in C/C++ and Ada, plus solid Git experience, are essential. The role demands leadership in a highly regulated environment, with a focus on architecture, estimation, and cross-team communication to ensure high-integrity software

As the Software Technical Lead, you will be responsible for the following core missions:

• QCD Ownership & Steering: Drive Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) for software releases, ensuring alignment with requirements and tracking overall progress.
• Cross-Functional Interface: Serve as the primary bridge between Systems, Development, and Validation teams while providing daily support to developers.
• Change & Baseline Management: Arbitrate between incoming client bug fixes on parallel baselines and main-branch development to ensure stability and control.
• Technical Estimation & Communication: Perform technical estimations based on incoming specifications to define QCD impacts and lead discussions across the SIL4 software ecosystem.

Profil recherché

We are seeking a versatile Software Technical Lead to steer an experienced team of 6 developers within a leading transportation systems group, driving the delivery of high-integrity safety-critical software (SIL4).

The ideal candidate will combine deep software engineering expertise with proven team leadership in highly regulated environments:

• Industry Domain: Proven track record in safety-critical, highly regulated environments (such as Railway, Automotive, Avionics, or Defense).
• Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of ADA, C, or C++ programming, paired with advanced mastery of Git for configuration management.
• System Architecture: Strong understanding of software architecture principles applicable to SIL4 or equivalent safety-standard systems.
• Leadership & Communication: Assertive leadership style to guide and support an experienced dev team, along with clear technical communication across cross-functional teams.

Unfortunately, you won't be a good fit if:

• You do not have prior exposure to safety-critical normative frameworks or highly regulated software development (e.g., pure web/mobile or non-critical application experience).
• You are seeking a strictly managerial position without active technical involvement, architectural understanding, or code/branching oversight.
• You lack experience managing complex version control tools like Git in multi-baseline or multi-branch environments.
• You have less than 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
