Vivid Resourcing is seeking a Software Engineer to join a hybrid team in Ghent. You will develop and evolve .NET/C# applications, collaborate with stakeholders, and focus on performance and scalability across web platforms.

Ideal candidates have strong .NET skills, Azure, Docker, and REST API experience, with Dutch fluency and a collaborative mindset. The role offers a hybrid pattern with onsite Ghent work three days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with .NET/C#, object-oriented programming, and web apps.
• Experience with EF, SQL Server, REST APIs, Git, Docker, Azure, .NET Framework/Core.
• Knowledge of design patterns and lifecycle management.
• Experience integrating external APIs.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools is a plus.
• Fluent Dutch is essential; French is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Software Engineer (Hybrid, Ghent)

We are working with an exciting company within the Media and Photography sector looking for an experienced Software Engineer proficient in .Net, C#, Typescript and Devops to help drive the evolution of their web platforms and applications. In this role, you will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to improve system performance, scalability, and user experience while supporting a growing customer base.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain .NET-based applications and services.
• Contribute to software architecture, technical decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to define and implement new features.
• Optimise existing systems, processes, and integrations.
• Ensure high standards of software quality, reliability, and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong experience with .NET/C#, object-oriented programming, and web applications.
• Experience with Entity Framework, SQL Server, REST APIs, Git, Docker, Azure, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and application lifecycle management.
• Experience integrating external APIs.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools is an advantage.
• Fluent Dutch is essential; French is a plus.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
