Rhox in Belgium is seeking a junior Java developer to adapt existing applications to new technical standards, focusing on Java 8 with a view toward Java 11. You will work on systems built with Spring Boot, Spring, Hibernate and GWT, and handle data stored in DB2 and PostgreSQL.

You will apply social security standards to changes, collaborate with a small development team, and grow your skills in a public-sector environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience developing Java applications.
• Proficient with Java 8 and aiming to upgrade to Java 11.
• Experience with Spring 5.3.x and Spring Boot 2.7.x.
• Hibernate 5.5.x and GWT 2.7.
• Experience with DB2 and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Gradle 5.x.

A public social protection organisation is updating its application landscape. As a junior Java developer, you will adapt existing Java applications to new standards, using Java 8 with a view towards Java 11.

The mission

You will bring existing applications into line with new technical standards and social security norms. The work covers applications built with Spring Boot, Spring, Hibernate and GWT, with data stored in DB2 and PostgreSQL.
