Job summary

NCIM seeks an experienced SharePoint professional to maintain and upgrade the SharePoint used by the BICES NATO HQ Element. You will provide 2nd/3rd level support to NATO IS/IMS users and contribute to BGX service management across multiple CIS functions, including SharePoint and systems/applications services.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, ability to work in a multinational team, and a NATO SECRET clearance. On-site work at NATO HQ Brussels is expected.

Qualifications

• Higher secondary education with 3+ years related experience.
• At least 1 year post-related experience in SharePoint and in business requirements analysis.
• Experience in Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Certification or equivalent.
• Experience in content management systems and web development.
• Experience with SQL design, development, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and upgrade SharePoint for the BICES NATO HQ Element.
• Provide second and third level support to NATO IS/IMS user communities.
• Manage BGX services including Service Desk, Networking/Communications, and SharePoint.</br>Ensure maintenance, QA, and handling customer feedback.
• Comply with national requirements for working permits, visas, taxes, and social security while on site at NATO HQ Brussels.

Duties

• Under the guidance of the BSU Chief the incumbent will maintain and upgrade the SharePoint used for the purposes of the BICES NATO HQ Element.
• S/He will be oriented towards providing second and third level of support to NATO IS/IMS user communities.
• Within BGX, the BICES Support Unit (BSU) is responsible for managing the BICES services across the BICES NATO HQ Element that includes the following CIS functional areas by providing daily operational support: BGX Service Desk, Networking/Communications, Secure Voice & Video telecommunications platforms and Systems/Applications services, SharePoint, Call Manager support.
• Additionally, the BSU provides general maintenance functions, and quality assurance, and manages customer feedback.
• The contractor will be responsible for complying with the respective national requirements for working permits, visas, taxes, social security etc. whilst working on site at NATO HQ Brussels, Belgium.

Requirement

• The incumbent must possess higher secondary education with at least 3 years post related experience and possess at least 1 year post-related experience in SharePoint as well as in business requirements analysis and gathering; possess at least 1 year of experience in Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Certification (or above) or Current Microsoft Industry Standard.
• The incumbent must possess at least 1 year of experience in content management systems, web site development and maintenance, MySQL and SQL development and support, backup and recovery operations, information assurance support, application support operation, application support testing and release management, and application support SQL design, development and maintenance.
• The incumbent must possess at least 1 year of experience in both SharePoint, Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server (all versions from 2013 forward), including infrastructure and web application development with flexibility to work on different projects at the same time and substitute each other as required.
• The incumbent must possess at least 1 year of experience in testing and quality assurance.
• The incumbent must possess at least 1 year of experience in optimizing performance and browser compatibility.
• The incumbent must have proven ability to integrate and work in a multinational team.
• The incumbent must have strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Must be innovative and have the ability to analyse and solve problems with little guidance and supervision.
• The incumbent must possess a high level of tact and diplomacy.
• The contractor must be in possession of a NATO SECRET security clearance.
• The incumbent must possess level V (Advanced) of the English language.

Preferences

• The following will be considered an advantage: experience in SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), SharePoint Object Model, SharePoint App Model, Client-Side Object Model, Document Handling System (DHS) and REST API.
• The following will be considered an advantage: Extensive experience (5 years or more) in the design and implementation of Software at functional services level.
• The following will be considered an advantage: experience in a national administration and/or international public sector organisation.
• The following will be considered an advantage: good understanding of the NATO HQ international environment.
