Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications. You will work with Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and XAML to deliver polished, accessible experiences across Windows 10/11+.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Windows desktop development using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and XAML.
• Deep understanding of Windows architecture and interop between managed and native code.
• Proven track record shipping production-quality desktop apps with reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Strong experience with accessibility APIs on Windows and inclusive software development.
• Excellent fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory mgmt, multi-threading.
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring engineers, and conducting code reviews.
• Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• User-centric mindset focused on polished and accessible UX.

Responsabilités

• Lead design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop apps using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and possibly C++.
• Define and enforce best practices for Windows desktop development across codebase.
• Drive accessibility efforts: UI Automation, focus management, keyboard navigation, screen readers.
• Collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and others to shape UI/UX architecture and roadmap.
• Identify and resolve complex bugs, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks; propose robust solutions.
