EY is seeking a Senior Consultant to join the Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR) team in Belgium. You will manage VAT/GST compliance for assigned entities across Europe, acting as a liaison with international clients and colleagues to ensure accurate reporting.

The role involves supervising junior staff and driving continuous process improvements. You will contribute to a dynamic environment with exposure to diverse clients, leveraging tax expertise and IT systems knowledge to navigate

Qualifications

• Bachelor and/or Masters degree in economics, tax law, accounting or equivalent – specialization in taxation is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in EMEIA VAT compliance.
• Basic understanding of IT systems and VAT/GST reporting solutions and legislative changes.

Responsabilités

• Act as a single point of contact – liaise with international clients and colleagues regarding European VAT and VAT compliance.
• Monitor the quality of indirect tax data and reports for clients.
• Review and approve indirect tax returns.
• Follow up on legislative changes and business changes and the potential impacts on systems and processes.
• Identify issues and opportunities to continuously improve VAT compliance processes.
• Coordinate VAT compliance advisory, technology and audit support.
• Supervise and coach more junior team members – both on and offshore.
