Job summary

Exosens in Leuven is seeking a (Senior) Systems Engineer for the Product Release Team to own product readiness, documentation, and transfer to Operations and Production Engineering. You will ensure full validation, robust design transfer, and provide second-line support for design-related issues.

As a senior contributor, you will collaborate with R&D, QA, and Manufacturing to drive scaling, calibrations, and defined “Definition of Done” criteria across the product line.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant domain.
• 4+ years of experience; 7+ years for a Senior Systems Engineer.
• Experience with industrialization and transfer of R&D results.
• Knowledge of firmware, software, FPGA development, optical systems, ASIC designs.
• Hands-on debugging and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with validation.
• Excellent oral and written communication; autonomous and rigorous.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned group of products and ensure product readiness for transfer to Operations and Production Engineering.
• Provide second-line support for design-related issues identified by Operations, FAEs, or customers.
• Develop and maintain validation documentation and calibration procedures; lead quick-turn testing and analysis.
• Create clear work instructions for small-volume manufacturing and pilot production.
• Collaborate with R&D, Operations and Production Engineering to enable scaling and robust transfers.
