Pauwels Consulting in Brussels is seeking a Solution Architect to shape and safeguard solution architecture within a complex IT landscape. You will translate business requirements into end-to-end architectural solutions and ensure architectural consistency across transversal initiatives.

The role requires 8+ years of relevant experience, strong technical fluency in API-based architectures, Azure, REST, and UML, with Dutch or French plus English.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Functional or Solution Architect in complex IT environments.
• In-depth knowledge of architecture principles: DDD, API-based architectures, orchestration, BPM.
• Strong expertise in integration like REST APIs, asynchronous messaging, event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency with cloud architectures, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Ability to model architectures and processes using UML and EA tools.
• Experience in transversal contexts with multiple stakeholders and legacy systems.
• Fluent English and Dutch or French, with basic knowledge of the other.

The role focuses on providing transversal digital services for document flows, supporting both incoming and outgoing communications through scalable and sustainable solutions.

• You possess in-depth knowledge of modern architecture principles and patterns, including DDD, API-based architectures, orchestration, and BPM.
• You bring strong expertise in integration architectures such as REST APIs, asynchronous messaging, and event-driven architectures.
• You have proven experience with cloud architectures, specifically Microsoft Azure, including understanding constraints and trade-offs.
• You possess the ability to model and document architectures and processes using UML and Enterprise Architecture tools.
• You have experience operating in transversal contexts with multiple stakeholders and legacy systems.
• You are autonomous, accountable, and possess excellent communication skills.
• You bring the ability to bridge business and IT to influence strategic architectural decisions.
• You are fluent in English with fluency in either Dutch or French and at least basic knowledge of the other.
