Job summary

WLG in Belgium seeks a senior solution engineer to own system-level architecture for deployable ICT/defence systems. You will translate requirements into integrated designs and coordinate networking, SATCOM, compute, cloud, and security specialists to deliver coherent solutions.

You will act as the technical owner for in-service systems, manage changes, obsolescence, and roadmaps while guiding stakeholders to decisive outcomes with strong English technical communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field and ~10 years of engineering experience on complex ICT/defence systems.
• Proven work as technical lead, lead systems engineer or solution architect.
• Strong requirements engineering, interface control, traceability and system integration, verification and acceptance.
• Broad technical range across networking, infrastructure, virtualization, security, cloud, automation and communications.
• Experience with systems after they go live: configuration and change management, obsolescence and technical debt.
• Professional English, including writing and reviewing complex technical documents.

Networks, satellites, servers, security. Someone has to make them behave as one system. A multinational defence organisation in Braine-l'Alleud builds deployable communication and information systems out of standard modules and services. It needs a senior solution engineer who can see the whole system at once - turning requirements into architecture, coordinating the specialists, and acting as technical owner of systems already in operational service.
