Scalers is partnering with a UK FinTech to hire a Security Engineer who will secure partner infrastructure, applications and services powering daily operations.

You will oversee security across partner environments, collaborating with networks, apps and engineering teams to harden platforms, advise on secure SDLC, and respond to incidents.

Qualifications

• Experience with DevSecOps and familiarity with security principles and frameworks like OWASP, NIST, and SDLC processes.
• Ability to identify and assess security risks and implement mitigations.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and integrating security across the SDLC.
• Proven experience handling security incidents, breaches, and forensic investigations.

Scalers are partnering with a FinTech company in the UK who are a developer centric organisation building cutting edge software in the Finance space. We’re looking for a Security Engineer to help secure our partners infrastructure, applications, and services that power their everyday operations.

Day to day:

• Oversee security across our FinTech partners infrastructure, applications, and data to protect against security threats.
• Work closely with networks, applications, and engineering teams to harden technology platforms and ensure the right level of observability.
• Advise product delivery teams on security architecture, design, and development, ensuring secure deployment practices across the software lifecycle.
• Identify and recommend improvements to security systems, applications, and deployments.

What we’re looking for from you:

• Experience with DevSecOps and familiarity with security principles and frameworks like OWASP, NIST, and the implementation of secure development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
• Experience in identifying and assessing security risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and how to integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Proven experience handling security incidents, breaches, and performing forensic investigations.
• Experience with tools like IDS/IPS, SIEM, and content filtering to monitor and defend enterprise environments.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
