X4 Life Sciences in Belgium is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support EPCM projects in civil engineering and construction. You will coordinate construction activities, act as a main contact between the client, EPCM organisation, contractors and site personnel, ensuring safety, schedule and quality requirements are met.

The role requires a strong track record in large-scale civil works, fluent Dutch and good English, with French as a plus.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent relevant experience within EPC/EPCM projects.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a project or construction environment.
• Experience with large-scale civil engineering and construction projects.
• Fluent Dutch and good English are essential; French is an advantage.
• Strong client-facing and communication skills.
• Experience with MS Project, AutoCAD, BIM/Navisworks, BIM 360 or similar tools is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and oversee construction activities throughout the project lifecycle
• Act as a key point of contact for the client, contractors and project stakeholders
• Coordinate multidisciplinary construction teams and contractors on site
• Monitor project progress, planning, costs, risks and site activities
• Coordinate HSE and ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements
• Monitor QA/QC activities and ensure construction work meets the required quality standards
• Coordinate technical information between engineering teams, contractors and the construction site
• Manage construction contracts and support contractor coordination
• Identify, manage and resolve construction-related issues and risks
• Coordinate site execution and ensure activities remain aligned with the overall project schedule
• Support commissioning preparation, handover and project close-out
• Provide regular progress updates and reporting to the project organisation and client

We are currently looking for an experienced Construction Manager to support a consultancy on various EPCM projects within a civil engineering and construction environment in Belgium.

As Construction Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating construction activities and acting as a key point of contact between the client, EPCM organisation, contractors, engineering teams and site personnel. You will ensure that construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the project schedule, quality requirements and technical specifications.

Key responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Strong experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams
• Fluent Dutch and good English are essential, French is an advantage
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
• Strong organisational, management and problem-solving abilities
• Results-driven, flexible and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with MS Project, AutoCAD, BIM/Navisworks, BIM 360 or similar project management tools is an advantage
• PMP, PMO, construction management or other relevant certifications are a plus
• Valid driving licence (Category B)
