Axon in Brussels is seeking a Senior QA Technician to lead hands-on hardware validation for robotics platforms, including drones and ground robots. You’ll perform advanced soldering, PCBA rework, and mechanical assembly, ensuring reliability in a world‑class lab environment.

You’ll work as a primary interface during bring‑up and debugging, applying meticulous data collection and lab‑scale troubleshooting to influence next‑gen robotics releases.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in electronics hardware testing or QA in R&D.
• Fluent in English; French or Dutch a plus for Brussels.
• Able to read schematics and PCB layouts.
• Extensive hands-on with test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers).
• SMT soldering and PCBA rework experience; battery testing helpful.

Responsabilités

• Execute hardware test plans and support mechanical assembly for mainboards and subsystems.
• Perform calibrations (voltage/current/voltage-clamp) using Arbin testers.
• Inspect chassis/panels and perform open-circuit testing for integrity.
• Conduct advanced soldering and high-complexity PCBA rework for prototypes.
• Bring up, characterize, and debug systems with lab tools (oscilloscopes, analyzers, power supplies).
• Maintain Brussels lab: calibration schedules, inventory, safety compliance.
• Document test results clearly in Excel/Word for engineering reviews.
• Collaborate with Electrical/Mechanical Engineers to isolate issues.
• Assist regulatory testing (FCC, CE, IEC) and prepare data sets.
• Automate repetitive test flows with scripts or test software.
