Our client, a major organization in the transportation sector, seeks an experienced professional to lead the BI Center of Excellence and manage strategic data analytics projects. You will oversee end-to-end lifecycle of high-impact BI solutions and migrations, bridging business needs with technical implementation.

The role requires 10+ years in project/delivery management with hands-on BI and Analytics, 8+ years in Power BI and Fabric, and strong Azure expertise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years as a Project Manager or Delivery Manager with hands-on BI and Data Analytics.
• 5+ years of project delivery experience in Data & Analytics environments.
• 8+ years in Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• 5+ years Azure Cloud experience with Data Solutions, including Azure Analysis Services and Synapse Analytics.
• Proficient in Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) using Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge of AI tools like RayFin and CoPilot within a Microsoft Fabric context.
• Strong Data Governance, security requirements, and solution architecture in large enterprises.
• Fluent in Dutch or French (C1/native) with at least B2 in the other language and C1 in English.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of Data Engineers and Power BI Developers on cloud platforms.
• Drive the governance of the BI Center of Excellence with best practices and guardrails.
• Facilitate workshops and requirements sessions with senior stakeholders to translate objectives into roadmaps.
• Oversee migration of BI solutions to modern environments including Microsoft Fabric and Azure.
• Report progress, budget and risk to steering committees and executive management.

Our client, a major organization in the transportation sector, is looking for an experienced professional to lead their BI Center of Excellence and manage strategic data analytics projects. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of high-impact BI solutions and migrations while bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation.

• Manage the full project lifecycle for strategic BI and Data Analytics initiatives, from initial scoping and analysis to final implementation and support.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of Data Engineers and Power BI Developers to deliver integrated solutions on cloud-based platforms.
• Drive the strategic development and governance of the BI Center of Excellence by establishing best practices and architectural guardrails.
• Facilitate workshops and requirements sessions with senior stakeholders to translate business objectives into technical roadmaps.
• Oversee the migration of existing BI solutions to modern environments including Microsoft Fabric and Azure.
• Report on project progress, budget management, and risk mitigation to steering committees and executive management.

• 10+ years as a Project Manager or Delivery Manager with significant hands-on technical involvement in BI and Data Analytics.
• 5+ years of experience in project delivery specifically focused on Data & Analytics environments.
• 8+ years of deep technical expertise in Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• 5+ years experience with Azure Cloud and Data Solutions, including Azure Analysis Services and Synapse Analytics.
• You bring proficiency in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban utilizing Jira and Confluence.
• You possess knowledge of AI-driven tools including RayFin and CoPilot within a Microsoft Fabric context.
• You have a strong understanding of Data Governance, security requirements, and solution architecture in large enterprise settings.
• You're proactive and solution-oriented with excellent presentation skills for management-level stakeholders.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French (C1/Native level) with at least B2 level in the other language and C1 level in English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with SAP BW/BW4HANA and SAP Datasphere.
• Knowledge of AI tools such as Claude.
• Background in the transportation or public services sector.
• Degree in Informatics or Economic Sciences.

• Duration: project until 31/12/2027
• Work regime: Full-time
• Location: Brussels
• Working model: Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week onsite)
• Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers
