VTU Engineering in Antwerp is seeking a senior process engineer to lead the design for pharmaceutical and biotech projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while executing process engineering tasks from design through to handover.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of relevant experience, strong social and communication skills, and proficiency in English and Dutch. The role offers flexible working hours, competitive salary, and opportunities for continuous learning and career growth.

• 10+ years of experience in process engineering, especially in biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.
• Very good English and Dutch language skills, both written and spoken.
• Excellent IT proficiency.

Responsabilités

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the process design team for pharmaceutical, biotechnological, and chemical projects, coordinating stakeholders across all project phases.
• Execute process engineering from design to project handover, including cost‑quality‑schedule (C&Q) calculations.
• Prepare mass flow diagrams, block diagrams, and P&IDs for designed installations.
• Specify and select equipment and components, analyzing, comparing, and appraising supplier tenders according to technical criteria and customer specifications.
• Organize interfaces during construction or refurbishment and apply process engineering knowledge during commissioning.
• Provide project management support from the offer (goal definition, cost calculations, staffing) through implementation (reporting) to handover.
• Train junior process engineers and serve as a technical contact for colleagues.

Qualifications

• Higher education in Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in process engineering, especially in biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.
• A readiness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Very good English and Dutch language skills, both written and spoken, plus excellent IT proficiency.
• Strong social competence, teamwork, communication skills, and a high degree of independence.
