Job summary

CRANIUM in Belgium’s Limburg is seeking a Senior Privacy Consultant to develop and oversee privacy programs for clients, ensuring GDPR and local compliance. You will provide tailored regulatory guidance and embed privacy by design across client processes.

You will lead DPIAs/TIAs, map data flows, deliver privacy training, and mentor colleagues while coordinating with regulatory bodies to ensure GDPR accountability and high-quality client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Security, Data Science, or Criminology.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in data protection.
• DPO Certificate.
• CIPP/E certification (desirable).
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, Belgian data privacy laws, and global standards.
• ISO 27001, 27701 knowledge is highly desirable.
• Fluency in French and English; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee comprehensive privacy programs for clients.
• Provide tailored regulatory advice based on Belgian developments.
• Embed privacy by design/default principles into processes.
• Review and adapt data processing activities for GDPR compliance.
• Lead DPIAs/TIAs and map data flows with governance procedures.
• Deliver privacy training and awareness initiatives.
• Oversee third-party vendor assessments and DPA compliance.
• Lead incident response for data breaches and develop plans.
• Create documentation and reports for GDPR accountability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor junior colleagues.
• Manage complex projects and ensure timely delivery.
