BESIX Group is seeking a Senior Plant & Equipment Engineer to reinforce the Plant & Equipment department. You will lead mobilization and demobilization of equipment for national and international projects and support on-site operations.

The role includes mentoring junior engineers, coordinating with the methods department, and ensuring reliable performance of the equipment fleet. Travel up to one month abroad is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in industrial or civil engineering (mechanics or electro-mechanics preferred).
• Dutch is mandatory; good knowledge of French; English is required.

About BESIX Plant & Equipment

The BESIX Plant & Equipment department manages, maintains, and repairs a large fleet of capital equipment for civil construction projects, as well as a wide range of foundation machines. To reinforce our growing team, we are looking for a motivated Senior Plant & Equipment Engineer who will play a key role in supporting our Local operations.

Your Role

As a Senior Plant & Equipment Engineer, you will:

• Lead the organization of mobilization and demobilization of equipment for national and international projects.
• Provide expert support to operational teams on site and collaborate closely with the methods department.
• Oversee the technical and administrative follow-up of our equipment fleet, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Take on increasing responsibilities, including mentoring junior engineers and contributing to strategic decisions.
• Conduct regular visits to inspect equipment and support local teams on international projects.
• Offer back-office support to the international equipment department, ensuring smooth coordination across projects

Functie-eisen

• You hold a master’s degree in industrial or civil engineering, specialized in mechanics or electro-mechanics.
• You have relevant work experience in plant, equipment, or construction-related engineering.
• Dutch is mandatory, with a good knowledge of French; excellent English is also required. Any additional language is an asset.
• You are passionate about technics, machines, and engines, with a hands‑on mindset.
• You are persevering, enthusiastic, and entrepreneurial, with a strong sense of responsibility.
• You are a fluent communicator, able to clearly transmit ideas and technical concepts.
• You are flexible and willing to travel worldwide, with missions abroad lasting up to one month.
