Econocom Belgium is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, operate and secure a large-scale network across Belgium and Europe. You will manage 24/7 connectivity in Cisco-centric environments, working across IT and OT and collaborating with security, applications and operations teams.

Based in Brussels, the role starts on-site for the first 3 months, then moves to a hybrid model (3 days on-site, 2 days remote). Travel within Belgium may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• Senior network engineering experience in complex enterprise environments.
• Fluent in English with proficiency in French or Dutch.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; autonomous work style.
• Comfortable in critical environments prioritizing reliability and security.
• Willing to participate in an on-call rotation (1 week out of 4).
• Willing to travel occasionally within Belgium.

Responsabilités

• Operate and maintain enterprise networks in a 24/7 environment.
• Deploy, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure.
• Support connectivity across multiple European locations.
• Contribute to strategic projects: data center connectivity, cloud networking, WAN modernization, security initiatives.
• Ensure changes are documented and executed per standards.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application and operations teams.
• Contribute to network automation and operational improvements.
