USG Professionals Belgium is seeking a Senior .NET Azure Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications using .NET Core and Azure services.

You will collaborate with architects and other developers to deliver robust backend solutions, focusing on performance, security, and maintainability across distributed systems.

Are you passionate about building scalable cloud-native applications, designing robust APIs, and working with modern Azure technologies? We're looking for a Senior .NET Azure Developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and building high-quality software that makes a real impact.

As a Senior Developer, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining modern backend solutions and cloud services. You'll collaborate with architects, analysts, and fellow developers to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable applications using the latest Microsoft technologies.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and develop backend services using .NET / C# and .NET Core.
• Build and maintain scalable REST APIs and distributed services.
• Work with event-driven architectures and asynchronous messaging solutions.
• Contribute to application performance, reliability, and scalability.

You'll work hands-on with technologies such as:

• Application Insights
• Event Grid

You'll also apply Azure security and governance best practices, including:

• Managed Identities
• Service Principals (SPNs)
• RBAC
• Design solutions using modern architectural principles such as:
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• CQRS
• Microservices
• MediatR
• Vertical Slice Architecture
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions based on business needs and technical context.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following SOLID principles.
• Work with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
• Develop solutions using Entity Framework Core (EF Core) and Dapper.
• Design and optimize SQL databases.
• Work with both relational and NoSQL data stores, including Cosmos DB.
• Handle performance tuning, indexing, migrations, and concurrency challenges.

Strong experience with .NET / C# and .NET Core

Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure services

Solid knowledge of REST APIs and distributed systems

Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD and Git workflows

Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns

Experience with EF Core, SQL Server and Cosmos DB

Passion for clean code, testing, and engineering excellence

Nice to Have

• Experience with MassTransit
• OData knowledge
• Experience in large-scale enterprise environments
