We are looking for an experienced .NET Architect / .NET professional to provide technical leadership across a portfolio of enterprise applications.
The role combines solution architecture, hands-on technical expertise, modern UI architecture and technical leadership. You will work closely with Project Leaders, Product Owners, Tech Leads and development teams to define target architecture, challenge technical choices and ensure high-quality application delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and communicate the target architecture for applications.
- Review and challenge functional and technical specifications.
- Ensure code quality, architectural consistency and development best practices.
- Design scalable solutions based on microservices architecture and modern development patterns.
- Challenge technical choices with Tech Leads and Developers.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to challenge and refine features.
- Coach developers and facilitate collaborative technical sessions.
- Investigate complex technical issues and provide structured solutions.
- Report application progress and technical risks to project and development leadership.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to continuous technical improvement.
Candidates should demonstrate strong hands-on experience in:
- .NET / Microsoft technology stack at Technical Architect or very Senior Developer level.
- Modern UI / Front-End Architecture with proven experience designing and delivering modern front-end solutions.
- Microfrontend Architecture – mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture and development/design patterns.
- Kubernetes (K8s) – services, pods, ingress, networking and related concepts.
- Microsoft Azure cloud resources and services.
- Architecture modelling using UML and/or ArchiMate.
- Testing practices including Unit Testing, Feature Testing and Mocking.
- Experience providing technical leadership/coaching to development teams.
- Ability to lead and coordinate multiple development teams.
- Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills.
SHOULD HAVE – Preferred Skills
- Strong Blazor expertise is highly preferred.
- Experience with another modern UI framework/technology can be considered where Blazor experience is limited.
- Experience working within Agile / Scrum development teams.
- Experience collaborating directly with Product Owners, Tech Leads and Architects.
- Ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience facilitating architecture and technical workshops.
- Strong prioritisation skills, including handling urgent technical issues.
- Continuous interest in emerging technologies and architecture trends.
- Knowledge of French, Dutch and/or German is an advantage.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills are essential. The successful candidate should be comfortable challenging technical decisions, coaching developers, influencing architecture choices and providing clear technical direction across several teams.
