Vivid Resourcing is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Belgium to lead the design and development of complex machines throughout the lifecycle—from concept to production. You will own mechanical architectures and drive reliability, manufacturability, and cost considerations.

You will collaborate with electrical, controls, software and manufacturing teams, provide technical leadership, and mentor other engineers while delivering robust machine designs across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Significant mechanical engineering experience with machine design.
• Strong 3D CAD experience, especially SolidWorks.
• Good understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, tolerancing and assembly.

Responsabilités

• Lead the mechanical design and development of machines from concept to production.
• Develop machine concepts and mechanical architectures based on requirements.
• Design assemblies, structures, frames, and moving components with detailed drawings.
• Create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Select materials, components, actuators, bearings, drives, and other machine elements.
• Carry out mechanical calculations to validate designs (loads, stresses, tolerances).
• Develop prototypes and support build, testing, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot issues during development, testing, and production.
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, software, manufacturing and other teams to integrate designs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
