Zohorecruit is seeking a Senior Manager – Cloud Services to lead cloud strategy, governance, and operations for Belgium and broader European operations. The role requires senior leadership experience, deep cloud expertise across AWS, Azure and GCP, and a proven track record in cloud transformation.

You will mentor a high-performing cloud team, collaborate with executives and IT partners, drive cost optimization, security, and regulatory compliance across a hybrid, multinational environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience with at least 4 years in a leadership cloud role.
• Proven cloud transformation or migration leadership experience.
• Hands-on with public clouds (AWS/Azure/GCP) and multi/hybrid cloud environments.
• Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD experience.
• Preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCPCertified

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager – Cloud Services to lead their cloud strategy, implementation, and operations across their Belgian and broader European operations. This role involves driving digital transformation initiatives, ensuring the scalability and security of their cloud infrastructure, and leading a high-performing cloud engineering team.

You will collaborate closely with business leaders, IT teams, and external partners to ensure alignment between cloud capabilities and business needs. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership and strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Strategy & Governance:

Develop and execute the cloud strategy aligned with business objectives, including cloud adoption, cost optimization, risk management, and performance metrics.

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of cloud architects, engineers, and DevOps professionals.

Guide the design and deployment of scalable, secure, and high-availability cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Stakeholder Management:

Act as the bridge between technical teams and senior leadership. Communicate cloud vision, strategy, risks, and benefits to non-technical stakeholders.

Compliance & Security:

Ensure all cloud environments meet GDPR, ISO 27001, and other relevant compliance and regulatory requirements.

Oversee cloud budgets, manage vendor relationships, and implement cost optimization practices.

Stay up to date with cloud trends and innovations. Promote best practices and continuous improvement in cloud processes and tools.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience:

8+ years of IT experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role focused on cloud services.

Proven track record in leading cloud transformation or migration projects.

Hands-on experience with public cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Experience in hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments is a plus.

Background in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD.

Certifications (preferred):

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Google Professional Cloud Architect

ITIL, TOGAF, or other IT governance frameworks

Soft Skills & Core Competencies

Strong leadership and people management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Business acumen and strategic thinking

Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French are strong assets

Ability to work in a multicultural and cross-functional environment
